Particle Interactions in Physics and Arts: Artistic Transformation
Vancouver’s Emily Carr University of Art + Design (ECUAD) invited scientists as part of a project to show the parallels between art and science. It all started when artists from ECUAD visited the TRIUMF particle physics laboratory to find inspiration for their work. Scientists were invited afterwards to comment on their creations. A fascinating discussion ensued, revealing surprising connections between two worlds and a common quest shared by scientists and artists: we both ‘connect the unconnected.’
I was reflecting on the question “Can art be treated as raw data?”
